Jane Wickstrom

Technical Team Leader

Ms.Wickstrom is an international development and public health professional with over 22 years experience in expanding access and use of FP/RH services in Africa and Asia. As Technical Director for RESPOND, she leads the design and implementation of global and field-based projects to improve access and use of LAPMs; support integration of FP-HIV services; and instill gender awareness and sensitivity in FP/RH programs.

During her five years at USAID/Ghana, she directed all aspects of supply, demand, and advocacy/policy initiatives by designing, monitoring and bringing to scale programs in quality service delivery; behavior change communications and marketing for health, community engagement for health and research and evaluation. While in Ghana, Ms. Wickstrom was a recognized technical leader and champion for FP/LAPMs and was a key contributor to the Ministry's strategies, policies and programs for Repositioning FP, Contraceptive Security, and Community-based Health Planning and Services initiatives. Ms. Wickstrom has solid on-the-ground experience in scaling up RH/FP services in Vietnam. She directed the design and technical assistance that led to measurable improvements in quality of care, training and management in 12 provincial centers for clinical FP and PAC.
