Project Director
Dr. Stanley has 20 years of progressive experience as program leader, manager, innovator, and technical advisor of family planning, reproductive and maternal health programs. Her career has spanned all levels of international experience from HQ to regional and country levels including community-based interventions, national policy and district-level service delivery systems. For example, she successfully established a multi-sectoral reproductive health program in Nepal, including private, industrial, public and NGO service sites.
Before joining the RESPOND Project at EngenderHealth, Dr. Stanley served as Project Director for the Options UK RMMP Cambodia project. Under Dr. Stanley's leadership, this maternal health program was awarded highest DFID evaluation score as a result of exceeding results and demonstrating evidence of impact on long term goal of reducing maternal mortality. Prior to her work in Cambodia, she was Vice President for Field Programs at PATH, where she served as a member of the executive leadership team and contributed to overall leadership in areas of strategic vision, policy development, resource management and stewardship. Her overseas experience includes assignments in Eastern Europe, Asia, East and West Africa.
Dr. Stanley received her MA and PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Sussex.
