Roy Jacobstein

Clinical Director 

Dr. Jacobstein has 30 years of experience in the design, delivery and management of clinical RH/FP, child health and public health services in low-resource settings in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Jacobstein serves as an expert technical advisor to WHO in its generation and ongoing revision of the WHO Medical Eligibility Criteria for Contraceptive Use, the WHO Selected Practice Recommendations for Contraceptive Use, and the WHO Global Family Planning Handbook. He is the author of numerous technical and programmatic briefs on a range of FP/RH subjects such as female sterilization, vasectomy, IUDs, hormonal implants, contraceptive security, fostering change in medical settings, and the status of family planning programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Jacobstein is an Adjunct Professor of Public Health in the Department of Maternal and Child Health in the University of North Carolina's School of Public Health.
